Q: What is the difference between transparent insulating glass and low argon glass?




A:From an energy efficiency standpoint, Low-E argon glass is worth the investment.

   Transparent insulating glass is a kind of double-layer glass. The process is to bond two pieces of glass together to create a window. There is a pocket of air     space between the two panes of glass, which is sealed after drying to eliminate the possibility of condensation and maximize insulation performance.



   Low-E reflects UV rays and blocks infrared rays, keeping your home cooler in warmer climates. Argon is a gas that is injected between the panes of glass  to   help keep cold air from seeping in during the winter. Argon is often required in cooler climates. When combined, Low-E and Argon form a formidable  team to combat both cold and warm weather. Low-E Argon Glass means that during colder months it allows the sun's rays to penetrate the interior,   allowing heat and light to enter while limiting heat loss. During warm summer months, it limits seasonal heat gain while allowing light in.
